There are different ways of getting a guy and everything depends on your personal choice. I like to think of 'The Rules' as the female version of Mystery Method. It is well defined and works as long as you keep following the guidelines. The system is simple and easy to learn, but keep in mind that any relationship you establish is equal to how you got into it. The more real and natural you are at first meeting, the easier it will be to have an easy and long lasting relationship. Below some of the easy rules and in the book you can find all the explanations.
Don't talk to a man first (and don't ask him to dance)- Don't meet him halfway
- Don't call him and rarely return his calls
- Always end phone calls first
- Don't accept a Saturday night date after Wednesday
- Always end the date first
- No more than casual kissing on the first date
- Don't rush into sex
- Do the Rules
- Don't have a life (ok, I added this one :-)

The ones I do like are:
- Be a creature unlike any other
- Don't tell him what to do
- Accentuate the positive
- Be honest, but mysterious
- Slowly involve him in your family
- Take care of yourself
