U.S. researchers found out that women who are using contraceptives pills remember different aspects of events than women with natural menstrual cycle. This proves that birth control pills, by changing the body's hormonal balance, are affecting the way how woman's memory functions.

Studies have shown that women “on pills” on the one hand had a tendency to remember fewer details of events, but on the other hand, they were able to remember much better all the emotions that accompanying these events.

Pill reduces woman’s fertility by decreasing the natural level of estrogen and progesterone production. According to the neurobiologists from the University of California, two mentioned hormones are strictly associated with the ability to memorize a logical events.
